Changed my mind about local AI models after a client chewed me out over a $64 bill
I was all in on cloud AI, no way a small setup could keep up. Then a client in Mesa pointed at his internet bill and asked why my "free" AI was costing him $64 a month in data overages. He ran the same model on an old laptop in his garage and it did the job in half the time. I set up my own local model 3 weeks ago and my cloud bill dropped to zero. Anyone else running local for small business stuff, and where do you draw the line and go back to cloud?
