Asked an AI to plan dinner for 12, it forgot the oven exists

Last Sunday I told an AI assistant to build a menu for a family gathering in Austin, and it gave me five recipes that all needed the oven at 375 at the same time. I pointed that out, and it just said to stagger the cooking, which would have taken six hours. Why do these tools still miss basic real-world limits like one oven and one cook?

and honestly, people act like this is a huge deal but it's just a tool giving you a starting point. I mean, any real cook would look at five 375 degree recipes and immediately know that's not happening, so why blame the AI for not having common sense? maybe it's just me but i feel like we're expecting these things to read our minds when they're basically just fancy search engines. like, sure, it's annoying it didn't flag the oven thing, but you could've typed "easy recipes for a crowd" and gotten way better results. idk, i think people get mad at AI for stuff they'd never get mad at a person for, like if your friend suggested that menu you'd just laugh and change it.
